Tasty Doughnut!

How to toast a doughnut in 6 simple steps

Step 1: Take a stale doughnut out of the box or off of the plate

Step 2 (Optional): Cut the doughnut through the center, horizontally, so that you get two halves of doughnuts. This allows for quicker and more through re-heating, as you might need to get back to work quickly. It also makes the doughnut last longer.

Step 3: Place the stale doughnut into the toaster oven on high heat. Note: An upright sloted toaster will most likely not work for this operation, as the doughnut will become gooey and difficult to remove. If you do not have a toaster oven, a conventional oven can be used as a substitute.

Step 4: Go grab a coffee or a glass of milk, or do anything else that takes about 4 minutes

Step 5: Turn off toaster and carefully retrieve doughnut

Step 6: Enjoy your newly rejuvenated doughnut!

I got the idea from this from watching a Diggnation episode. Thank you hippie Glenn for the idea of toasting a doughnut! Diggnation rocks.

Why did I make this site?

I had half eaten box of doughnuts laying around that were several days old and getting stale. Nobody really wanted to eat them. Twenty nine minutes in to the latest diggnation episode, Glenn mentions toasting a doughnut, which makes it like "a brand new doughnut." I paused the show right there, toasted one of the doughnuts, and was amazed. Brilliance! I feel that if this site can help just a handful of otherwise wasted doughnuts tto be eaten and serve a purpose than this site has been worth while.
